A thought at midnight doesn't wait for morning. Texting works the same at 2am as at 2pm.
It's later than you meant to still be up, and there's a thought that isn't going anywhere on its own. Texting an actual person right now means weighing whether it can wait until tomorrow, and whether tomorrow you'll even remember what it was.
